We’re so excited to share our latest reveal: a full furnishing and mini renovation in West Springs. When our clients moved into their new home, they loved the extra space but struggled to make it feel like their own. The living room was dominated by a bulky rustic fireplace, and the existing light fixtures leaned a little too glam for this busy family of five. Because their happy place is always near the water, we carried that love of the beach into the design with a fresh new palette. Soft blue hues, warm neutrals, and layered textures now create a beautiful, coastal-inspired escape that finally feels like home.
As you enter the home, you are greeted with layers of texture and warm neutral tones. Storage ottomans help keep clutter at bay, while the decor gives you a preview of the vibe of the rest of the home.
Project Goals:
One of our main goals for this project was to reimagine the fireplace and transform the living room into a space that feels elevated enough for adults to unwind in, yet durable and relaxed enough for family life. Every piece of upholstery was designed with performance fabrics to keep things beautiful and low-maintenance — because stylish living should also be stress-free.
Next up was the dining room. We designed a custom table with hidden leaf storage, perfect for expanding the space when hosting family dinners. The table’s sculptural curved base adds a statement moment, while a woven chandelier above ties the open-concept area together with soft, coastal-inspired warmth.
In the basement, we replaced the carpet and introduced a new wall with sliding doors—allowing the space to flex between a private guest retreat and a seamless extension of the main living area. This thoughtful layout not only provides guests with privacy but also keeps the gym visually tucked away.
For furnishings, we layered a generous sectional with playful beanbags for the kids and grounded the seating area with a patterned ottoman and sleek sliding table. The combination of textures, tones, and silhouettes brings warmth and depth — creating a space that feels equally inviting for cozy family movie nights or casual everyday lounging.
Every corner of this home was thoughtfully designed to balance beauty and function — creating a space that feels effortless, intentional, and completely personal to the family who lives here.
