Easter is around the corner and today I am sharing with you my easter tablescape. I am also sharing with you a tutorial on how to create a beautiful floral bowl as your centerpiece (with grocery store flowers!). Trust me, it’s easier than it looks.
When creating a tablescape there are 3 things to consider:
1. Determine your colour palette. Easter colours tend to stay in the pastel world, but this doesn’t mean you need to do pastels on your table. Choose a colour or two that you love and use that as your accent colour on your table.
2. Fresh Florals for the win. Fresh florals automatically add an element of life and pretty to the table. Simply placing tulips in a glass jar will really elevate your table with minimal effort. But if you want a show stopping centre piece – create a bowl of florals like I did (tutorial below!).
3. Bunnies + Egg Accents. Cute bunny and egg accents are perfect for Easter. They add an element of whimsy, and look so dang cute on the table. Just don’t overdo it and only add in a few pieces to keep the table feeling elevated.
Creating a Fresh Floral Bowl Arrangement
All you need to create a fresh floral bowl are:
- A large bowl
- Tape
- Fresh florals (I used an assortment of grocery store florals)
- Floral Foam (The wet kind to keep your florals fresh)
- Soak your floral foam first, then place it in your bowl.
- Next, use your tape to create a grid over the bowl and foam. This will help your florals stay while also securing your foam block.
- Start with your largest greenery on the bottom. I took my green stems first and filled in the base of the bowl.
- Then, start adding in your larger florals in a random order. The little florals and tulips are great for filling in, and I also added in a few coloured Easter eggs throughout the arrangement.
