It’s offical – our toddler has the nicest room in the house!
We moved Aria to a big girl bed about a month ago and she is LOVING IT. She has yet to fall out (we have inflatable guard rails usually on her bed – not pictured above), and she waits patiently in her bed until we get her each morning….. fingers crossed this continues. She also makes sure to tell me every morning how much she loves her new rug, and how its “so soft and has lots of colours”… #momwin
The style I chose for her room was a mix between boho, chic and feminine. Aria loves pink, so I designed her room around all things pink and mixed in a few other colours where I could (aka the rug). She also LOVES elephants. I lucked out and found this cute elephant succulent planter to add to her room. I was also missing a print for her gallery wall, so I drew an elephant on canvas to personalize her room even more.

The rattan bed is from Crate & Kids and is the most gorgeous piece of furniture in her room. It makes a statement, but is also a bed she can have for years to come. It’s neutral enough that it will work with all different colours of bedding for when we want to change up her room.
I wanted to keep the beautiful wallpaper we installed when she was 7 months old. I wasn’t ready to take it down yet – it’s just so pretty! It’s actually a grey and beige wallpaper, but picks up tones of pink from her bedding and the accent chair. I chose this wallpaper knowing that we could easily change her room to a “big girl” room and I still love my choice.
The gallery wall above her dresser turned out SO good. I love mixing frames and media types in gallery walls – it creates so much more character in a space.
Don’t get me wrong… I still love a good grid gallery wall (like the one in my dining room)… but the more eclectic vibe works best in this space and keeps her room fun and interesting.
The frames & butterfly print are from Homesense, Rattan mirror, Elephant print (Yours truly), Wood Art, and Abstract print
Texture is something you should always add to a room. Texture makes a room feel cozy and complete. Pillows, rugs and decor items can all add texture to a room (I’ll be doing a more specific blog post on texture soon!).
The woven wall hanging and carved wood art add interest to the walls. And these beautiful dried palm leaves fit in perfectly with the boho vibe.
I created a little reading nook for Aria in this corner of her room.
The pink velvet chair is another statement piece in her room. It fills in the corner space perfectly and adds a pop of colour.
I’d love to make a cushion for her window bench when she’s a bit older. It’s my favourite part of her room.
The last little touch was this antique mirror my mom and I found awhile ago. I hung it to Aria’s height, and she loves making funny faces in it daily. It is gorgeous and is not something you see everywhere.
So, what do you guys think? Do you love this room as much as me!?
