Creating A Simple + Elevated Holiday Tablescape

This year is looking better than last year for us to be able to gather with our friends and family to celebrate the holidays (yay!). And if you are hosting a gathering big or small, there are simple ways to elevate your holiday tablescape to celebrate the magic that is Christmas. Here is my simple recipe to make your table beautiful this holiday season.

1. Bring in greenery

Using garland, or a floral centerpiece is an easy way to bring in a touch of the outdoors. It creates life, and touches of green ALWAYS look great on a table. I combined a regular pine garland, with an eucalyptus garland and a blueberry garland to add in variety. Twinkle lights are also a great addition to a table – check out my favourite ways to use twinkle lights here

2. Add ambience with candles

Tall candlesticks not only create a focal point, but also add ambience to your table. I love these antique-like brass ones to add height and a touch of glam to the table.

3. Layer in textiles + pretty tableware

Layering in a tablecloth, and pretty napkins add softness to the table. I tied in the brass candle holders with brass napkin rings for a cohesive feel. And last but not least is adding in the crystal glassware (scored from Homesense), and matte black flatware for a modern feel. Serving dishes are another wonderful way to elevate your table.
