Thanksgiving Tablescape: Two Ways

October is here, and that means Thanksgiving is around the coroner (in Canada anyways!) Our Thanksgiving gathering will be small if any at all again this year, but that shouldn’t stop you from making it special!

I’ve created two fall tablescape looks as some inspo for you and the upcoming holiday. Both looks are simple to put together, and both have a mix of moody dark plates, and brass flatware for a touch of glam.

01: Neutral with a touch of rustic

This tablescape plays off the warm neutral tones of fall and is layered with texture. The wood riser gives the table a rustic, harvest feeling, and the gold flatware adds a touch of glam.

The black plates are from Homesense, as are the gold flatware (they were such a great find – I linked similar below). I used my Amber Lewis for Anthropologie jug for a vase, added in bunny tails and dried eucalyptus to complete the look. This tables cape is minimal, and inviting.

02: Moody, but colourful

This second look transforms my modern black bowl (which I LOVE) into a statement making centrepiece.  I added moody, but colourful grocery store florals in the bowl to create this beautiful focal point. When creating florals in bowls, make sure to use foam in the base to hold your flowers in place, and let the eucalyptus and other longer stems drape over the edge for a dramatic look.

I paired this centre piece with simple white napkins, a cute little pumpkin on each place setting and my vintage inspired table runner from Labode Shoppe Interiors. If you haven’t been yet and are local to Calgary – you must go!

Happy Thanksgiving + be sure to share your tablescapes and tag @lilyjunehome in your posts – I’d love to see them!
