Aria’s Modern Playroom Design Board Reveal!

Our Modern Coastal Playroom Design board reveal! It only took a 2 months….but, I have finally came to a decision on the direction I wanted to go in this room and I LOVE IT. I was stuck between two designs (more so wallpaper choices, ha!) and now that I have committed and ordered this Wave Mural (From Livette’s) – I present you my final design!

I wanted to keep the playroom minimal, with lots of space on the floor to play. Toddlers love climbing, so we ordered a Cushy Couch to climb, jump, fort-build and more. We got it in pink, since it’s Aria’s favourite colour. They also sell covers separately, so we can always change it out if we need. I love that this couch is soft for play, but as she gets older it could work as a cozy spot for her to hang out and read.

When I was designing this playroom I wanted it to be a room she can grow into. The wallpaper is fun, but doesn’t scream toddler, and the rug has an elegant pattern to it. The wall storage system can be modified as she grows up by adding on pieces (if needed), and is going to be a piece we will have in here for awhile.

I still haven’t decided on if we are adding an activity table. We have one up in the kitchen that she likes to eat at and do crafts, but this Pottery Barn table grows with kids, and would be a great way to contain the legos. Or at least avoid the dreaded lego into the foot situation (maybe?).

Next up - implement the design!

The wallpaper is on its way, along with the Cushy Couch… and then it will be toy organizing time. And yes, I will be sharing my toy organization tips for you! I can’t wait to purge, and share with you my learnings and tips. I’ll also provide more detail on what to consider when creating a playroom for your kiddos, so stay tuned!

Kids rooms like this are perfect for my e-design options. If you love this design, and want a special place for your kid(s) to hang, let’s chat and make it happen.
