Holiday Wreaths are one of the easiest DIYs you can make for the Christmas season. There are so many variations that you can create, and if you are like me, I tend to make or update my wreath every single year. It’s just so much fun!
Today, I am sharing with you 3 Easy Holiday Wreaths that you can make to kick off the holiday season.
Here's what you need:
- Wreath/wreath form of your choice
- Floral Wire (Floral Tape for the gold metal wreath)
- Wire Scissors
- Assortment of greenery/floral picks
- Glue Gun
1. Simple + Minimalist Christmas Wreath
This year I am all about the simple holiday decor, and have been loving the beautiful, all green wreaths with very simple bows.
Take your grapevine wreath, and wrap your floral wire around your starting point 3 times. Do not cut your floral wire! You will use this as you go.
Next cut your stems, and bundle them into a small group of 2-3 stems.
Place your stems on the wreath, and take your floral wire (which is attached to the wreath) and wrap it around the stems 3X to secure.
Repeat by taking your next bundle, and placing them with a slight overlap on the previous greenery to cover up the wire and base. Secure with floral wire and continue until you have a full wreath.
I like filling mine in with smaller floral picks, and then I added vintage bells from Amazon, and a very simple bow.
2. Modern Gold Christmas Wreath
If modern is more your jam, then give this wreath a go! The gold ring adds an element of elegance to a holiday wreath. The same method as above applies, choose your stems (dried, natural, fake florals, etc) and arrange them on the gold ring. I got these gold rings from Amazon and they were perfect.
I used a combo of floral tape and glue gun to secure onto the wreath. And then added in a simple bow + voila!
3. Updating a basic green wreath
Oranges and eucalyptus leaves are huge this year for the holiday season. I picked up two floral picks that featured oranges to update my wreath with. I also used some old eucalyptus leaves I had sitting around (I have a slight obsession with anything eucalyptus..), and some other old Christmas picks I had leftover from previous years.
Once I had all my floral pieces ready to go, I started placing them on the plain pine wreath. I like my wreaths to be symmetrical, so I go back and forth between each side of the wreath with my floral picks until its filled in. Once you are happy with your arrangement, attach all the pieces with floral wire.
